AS trees in villages across the country herald autumn's arrival with magnificent displays of colour, the agents at Strutt & Parker's Country House Department find themselves looking forward to a fruitful season ahead. Based in Cadogan Street, Chelsea, the department handles the marketing of properties valued at more than $2 million across the country. From Devon to the Highlands, these agents have cultivated their networks over decades.
Whether a client is looking to sell their house via an extensive national marketing campaign or through a discreet sale on the private market, the department prides itself on providing a bespoke service from the multi-faceted team of agents.
Is it a good time to sell my property?
The political ups and downs of the past couple of years resulted in a sticky market in 2023, but thankfully this year saw the market reinvigorated, with buyer enquiries up by 19% year-on-year in August*, following the first Bank of England rate cut in four years. Strutt & Parker also reports the number of offers increasing by 15% year-on-year.
'We started 2024 in a good position with an excellent January and February for sales agreed,' explains one of the department's directors, Oliver Custance Baker.
