Birthday Shopping Fun!

In the lead up to my last birthday (lucky 44), my friends asked what I'd like for a joint present. The answer was easy - a gift voucher for Badger & Fox! That way I could put their kind gestures into something I really wanted rather than them taking a shot in the dark. Here's why, and what I invested in.

An instant love affair with beautiful things

I've been a disciple of Badger & Fox since 2018 when it first established itself in small corner of Tanglin Mall as a carefully curated multi-label lifestyle store full of beautiful treasures, fashion, jewellery and homeware. Back then, I bought quite a few must-have fashion pieces including Jasper Living and Pearl & Caviar dresses; all of which I still wear today.

I've also snapped up leather flats and wedge heels from The Tui Collection - I challenge you to find a more comfortable yet dressy shoe! Over the years, I've taken home silk statement cushions for my bed, pressed gold hoop earrings, mother-of-pearl photo frames for family pics and bone-inlay trays for entertaining.

A place that feels like home

When I walk through the doors of the latest incarnation of the store I'm transported to another world, being surrounded by one-of-a-kind furniture pieces from India and Africa, fashion from around the globe, and cool finds from some of the best design-led brands on the market. A bigger space has given Badger & Fox both room to breathe and to focus on creating a truly stunning environment.

Long-term expat owner Zdenka says that homeware was her first true love; she talks with passion about the treasures in-store, which include hand-made bohemian glass, rustic wooden Indian pieces, and African wooden carved tables and ceramics.
