The 30 Best Watches Of 2024

1. Audemars Piguet

[RE]Master02 Selfwinding Audemars Piguet is once again mining its pre-Royal Oak era to showcase designs that go beyond octagons. Tapping into the craze for extravagantly shaped, asymmetrical designs, it has launched the [RE]Master02 made of a material called "Sand Gold" with a linear satin-finished dial. Incorporating an industrial and brutalist design tone, the [RE]Master02 is no experimental concept watch. Limited to 250 pieces, it's proof of how the brand is constantly pushing the boundaries of design instead of resting on its laurels. Brutalist design may not be particularly fashionable today, but extravagantly shaped watches certainly are.

2. Panerai

Submersible Tourbillon GMT Luna Rossa Experience Edition The new Submersible Tourbillon GMT Luna Rossa is a Paneristi fever dream. Not only because it comes with exclusive access to the 37th America's Cup finals in Barcelona, but also because it features the best bits from the Panerai playpen. At 45mm in diameter, the new model is larger than its predecessors and combines heavy usage of Panerai's Carbotech with a DLC-coated titanium bezel. Offering 300 metres of water resistance, it's also equipped with a 30-second tourbillon and a GMT function. Peak performance? More like peak Panerai.
