Let’s trace back to the beginning. You began with blogging, became an entrepreneur, and now you have a remarkable organisation that you established for helping people. How did all of it come together for you?
I think each one of us starts on their own journey, but if we rewind, when I was 20 I had just finished university and did an internship at an agency in Amsterdam. Back then, Instagram was booming, and people were becoming influencers for the first time. It was then that I noticed why there was no Indian person doing this for us globally. “Why is there no one that looks like me?” And then I thought, should I try it? That’s where my Instagram journey began. Then I moved to London, studied law and became an influencer at the same time. After a while I decided to do this full-time because it just exploded.

And then my husband, who used to be a diplomat, working for the Foreign Service and I, an influencer, brought our worlds together and started our NGO, which by now has worked with UNICEF India for four years and United Nations in New York for many more. Our campaigns have reached 200 million people worldwide. It’s been an amazing ride!
