CLE DE PEAU BEAUTE THE SERUM, FROM $290

The Serum is a perennial favourite among beauty enthusiasts for good reason. The first step in the brand’s Key Radiance Care routine, The Serum promotes Skin Intelligence – which taps on skin’s inherent ability to regenerate with positive stimuli, and build resilience against negative stimuli – and the absorption of skincare products that follow.

Based on new scientific findings on sensor proteins and their importance in preventing skin damage and combating negative stimuli (such as pollution, stress and UV rays), the Japanese skincare brand has reformulated the beloved serum with two new skin-strengthening additions: lemon myrtle and radiant lily concentrate. The former aids in skin recovery to combat signs of ageing, while the latter boosts the regenerative prowess of sensor proteins in skin. The result is a smoother, plumper complexion.

SHISEIDO FUTURE SOLUTION LX REGENERATING CREAM S (NIGHT CREAM), $450, AND TOTAL PROTECTIVE CREAM S (DAY CREAM), $420

After four decades of extensive research into skincare science, Shiseido has raised the bar yet again with the groundbreaking discovery of its trademarked Longenevity Complex, and its ability to supercharge C.C.N.2 (skin’s definitive beauty factor, independent of age), reducing the likelihood of skin issues such as sagging and enlarged pores. Powering the Longenevity Complex found in Shiseido’s Future Solution LX range is the Enmei herb, a rare Japanese botanical prized for its regenerative properties. Besides the use of Japanese botanicals, the brand’s cultural heritage is also reflected in the caps of the products that draw inspiration from traditional tea utensils and textiles.
