NAD M23
Hi-Fi Choice|Yearbook 2022
NAD's latest power amp to feature Purifi Eigentakt Class D technology, when used in stereo the M23's rated power is quoted at 200W/8ohm - making it good for all but the most demanding of loudspeakers.
NAD M23

A full-size chassis, living with it is about as hassle-free as you could hope. The set-up process is simple and takes just a matter of minutes - choose between an unbalanced RCA or balanced XLR connection to your preamp, connect your speakers to the 4mm binding posts, plug into the mains, flick the rear-panel power switch on and you're good to go.

Sound quality

Having plenty of experience of earlier NAD amplifiers - including its recent Eigentakt designs - we can't help going into our listening session assuming that we know precisely what to expect, and yet we still come away surprised by what the M23 has to offer. The unruffled power it brings to bass and drums; the speed in which it responds to transients are expected, but the way it manages to sound even more refined and luxurious comes as a welcome surprise. That this blend of dynamic ability and smooth delivery comes from a relatively small box, easily able to shake a large floorstander or grow the stature of a standmount, is the icing on the cake.
