Dr. Pramod Sawant Goa Youth Skills Development Program, a shining initiative of the Government of Goa, launched on August 12, 2022, is a shining beacon of hope for the youth of Goa. This initiative, driven by the visionary Chief Minister of Goa, Dr. Pramod Sawant, is part of the larger Swayampurna Goa 2.0 initiative, which aims to make Goa self-reliant. This program is equipping Goan youngsters with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in the ever-evolving 21st-century job market.
The Challenging Landscape
In the challenging world today, academic certificates alone are insufficient for young talents to navigate their way forward. Recognizing this hurdle, Dr. Pramod Sawant, the visionary behind the program, took inspiration from the successes of similar initiatives in other states. With a clear vision in mind, the program was conceived in 2022 and has since grown into a transformative force in Goan society. Under the Swayampurna Goa 2.0 umbrella, various youth skill development initiatives have been introduced, including the Chief Minister Kaushalya Path Scheme and the Chief Minister's Apprenticeship Program. These programs collectively strengthen the state's efforts to upskill Goan youth, empowering them for a brighter future.
