It was a regular morning, but then I am not too regular doing mornings. I had just landed a corporate job and for the first time in almost a decade, I was supposed to reach office by 9am. Working as a journalist, especially working in newspapers, spoils you in ways you don't even realise- for one, nobody starts working before 2pm and of course one hardly gets to leave the newsroom before 11pm (on a really really good day), and there is no concept of late entry or exit.
But enough of living on the edge (of insomnia); I had decided to give 'the 9 to 5 corporate life' a shot. I have had my share of adrenaline rush and running after deadlines. I am old now, and like Geet in Jab We Met I pray: "Babaji thodi boring banado abh yeh zindegi."
