Hugh Jackman has started 2025 as a man on a mission.

Following a refreshing Christmas break Down Under with his children, Oscar and Ava, the devoted dad is reportedly making some big life changes in the next 12 months. And at the top of that list is taking the next step with his secret new love, Broadway actress Sutton Foster.

"The time spent in Australia was just what the doctor ordered," a close source tells New Idea. While in Sydney, Hugh, 56, enjoyed spending quality time with Oscar, 24, and Ava, 19, as well as catching up with old friends, some of who he has known for 50-plus years. He also got in plenty of exercise and swims at Bondi Beach, before heading to Melbourne to watch the Boxing Day Test at the MCG and ring in the new year.

"Getting out of work mode, and quite frankly divorce mode, allowed Hugh to think clearly for the first time in months," shares the source.

But while Australia was the perfect break, Hugh is excited to get back to the US for one big reason to reconnect with Sutton.
