AXED HOST PETER EVERETT IS NOT HAPPY

Jilted former primetime presenter Peter Everett admits he didn't sleep very well after learning that Miguel Maestre had been tapped to host Network 10's revamped Ready Steady Cook and not him.

"I was like a three-year-old child for a couple of days, who constantly asks, Why, why, why?" Peter, tells New Idea of the snub.

Peter took over as host in Ready Steady Cook's second year, and helped turn the show into a huge hit. He was axed in 2011 after five years with a brutal phone call while on holidays.
