Mercedes-Benz, long at the forefront of luxury car offerings in the Indian market, has swiftly embraced the electric era. The launch of the EQS sedan in 2021 marked a significant shift, as this full-size, luxury electric saloon was crafted as the EV counterpart to the iconic S-Class. Following quickly on its heels was the perhapstoo-obviously named EQS SUV. Now, from the agile EQA to the grand EQS SUV, there's an electric vehicle with a three-pointed star for just about everyone.
The EQS SUV makes a bold impression with its grand dimensions: 1.7 metres tall, 2.1 metres wide, and over five metres long. Yet, thanks to the curvaceous Mercedes-EQ design language, it looks inviting rather than imposing. Its smooth, rounded panels are purpose-built for aerodynamics, giving this large SUV a remarkably low drag coefficient of 0.26, nearly as sleek as a Ferrari SF90 Stradale at 0.25. That's right; this SUV glides through the air almost as efficiently as the ₹8 crore supercar.
