Connections can spark in the most unexpected places. And when that connection is unique, it blossoms into something truly extraordinary. For Palak Shah of Ekaya Banaras, and Suchi Reddy, the New York-based Indian architect, their serendipitous meeting was thanks to a mutual friend. "When Palak and her father visited me in New York, from the moment we met, it just clicked," says Reddy, who grew up in Chennai and spent her childhood visiting Kanchipuram's weavers with her mother.
