Diaper has taken charge of well over 1,000 games having first got involved in 1999 when the club was known as Vosper Thornycroft in the Hampshire League.
Since then they’ve enjoyed some remarkable moments, not least lifting the FA Vase at Wembley in 2014.
It’s been a long road to the brink of Step 3 and Diaper hopes they can take the next step when they host a tough Hamworthy United opponent tomorrow.
“We’ve still got three or four lads from the FA Vase win at Wembley so we know how to approach big games,” chairman-boss Diaper told The NLP. “We know concentration levels have got to be maximum. We’ve got that to our benefit so to speak but we’ve also got younger lads coming through – it will be a good experience for them.
