SUPERSUB Kwame Thomas turned the game on its head for the second home match in succession as Aldershot Town stunned Hartlepool with another late, late show

After snatching victory against Dagenham & Redbridge last month, Thomas scored the equaliser and set-up the winner in a thrilling sixty second period which earned three points that appeared to be falling out of Aldershot’s grasp.

“Nobody can argue that we deserved to win the game,” insisted Shots boss Tommy Widdrington, who also revealed that Thomas suffered a suspected broken nose in an aerial clash with David Ferguson during a tumultuous finale. “I’m delighted for Kwame – every time he gets on the pitch he gets clattered.

“With a performance like that I’d back us against anyone in this division. This is becoming a really good place to watch and play football, but we’re not singing and dancing about today, we’re putting it to bed.”
