‘DOUBLE ENGINE’ PUSH TO ACHIEVE OLYMPIC DREAM

AMC sets ball rolling to make city Olympic-ready, invites proposals to boost infrastructure; state govt has already roped in consultants to draw overall plan

With its sights set on Ahmedabad hosting the 2036 Olympics, the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) is preparing a comprehensive vision document – Vision Ahmedabad 2036. This plan aims to establish world-class sports infrastructure in the city, and the AMC has already invited proposals from consultants to help develop a winning strategy. The goal is to develop city-wide infrastructure, ensuring Ahmedabad is ready to welcome the world's top athletes.

This initiative complements the state government's own plans to develop sports facilities and infrastructure for the 2036 Olympics. The government has prepared a comprehensive plan encompassing both AMC and AUDA areas, and two international consultants have already been appointed to oversee this ambitious project.
