Over the past few years, private schools in Ahmedabad have seen a gradual increase in fees across different grades, approved by the Fee Regulatory Committee (FRC). The FRC Act of 2017 allows private schools to request a 5% fee increase. However, the fee structures for CBSE and IB board schools have notably risen from 2021 to 2025.
The official FRC website shows that Class 1 fees in IB board schools in Ahmedabad district have gone up from Rs 18,000 to Rs 22,000. Several CBSE board schools in the city have also increased their fees, with hikes ranging from Rs 6,000 to Rs 13,000 between 2021 and 2025.
