EMRI-108 emergency services could not reach 190 patients across the state due to heavy rains; 101 of these cases were in Ahmedabad alone

The heavy rains in Ahmedabad left many people stranded and unable to access basic services, including hundreds who couldn't get medical attention.

EMRI 108 services were unable to reach 190 medical emergencies in Gujarat on Monday. Over 50 percent of these emergencies were in Ahmedabad, the highest number compared to any other city in Gujarat.

Ahmedabad's hardest hit areas

According to EMRI-108 data, of the 190 registered emergencies they couldn't attend, 101 were in Ahmedabad alone. These emergencies were spread across different areas of the city, mainly in the eastern and some central parts.
