Ahmedabad is set to get a taste of Manhattan with the transformation of Law Garden and Mithakhali into swanky, upscale streets, complete with designer furniture and state-of-the-art electrical fittings. However, this touch of luxury comes at a hefty price: a staggering Rs 30 crore per kilometre of road.
The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has released tenders for the precinct development in these two areas, with a total project cost of Rs 194.21 crore. This makes them the most expensive streets in the city.
