The Vatva police arrested a man carrying 11.997 kg of hybrid cannabis worth Rs 3.6 crore near Ropda Circle on the SP Ring Road. The accused, Yogesh Dashadiya, a resident of Morbi, was allegedly transporting the drugs from Bangkok to Morbi via Ahmedabad.
Acting on a tip-off, Vatva police set up a checkpoint near Ropda Circle on Wednesday night. Dashadiya, who was waiting for a luxury bus with two trolley bags, was stopped and questioned. Upon searching his bags, the police found 11 plastic packets containing hybrid cannabis.
