'Populist' measure after members' hue & cry; a member quips 'rollback management' acting like a government

Following widespread opposition from members over increased food prices and various activity fees, including gym charges, the management of Karnavati Club has rolled back these fees by up to 50%. The revised rates came into effect last week.

In June, members were surprised by signboards around the club premises announcing the fee hike.

While food items became roughly 25 per cent more expensive, gym fees more than doubled.

Members claim they were not consulted beforehand and that the club authorities had unilaterally decided to implement these price increases. Mirror had previously reported on this matter.
