VEGETABLE TRADER SHOT AT IN NEHRUNAGAR

Victim critical, police suspect land dispute as one of the reasons for firing

A 66-year-old vegetable trader was shot at in Nehrunagar area on Saturday night, less than two days after the murder of a 65-year-old NRI in Bopal. The incident occurred just 100 metres away from the Tagore Park police chowky. The victim, who was in a critical condition at the time of going to press, has been identified as Badaji Chamanji Modi.

Teams from the Satellite police station and the crime branch rushed to the scene to investigate. The victim is currently in critical condition.
