Boy dies playing Eton Field Game yards from his father

Year 13 pupil Raphaël Pryor, 17, was playing the game - a mix of football and rugby - when he became unwell.

Onlookers rushed to save the teenager by performing CPR but he passed away in front of his friends.

His father Michael Pryor, a barrister and ex-Eton pupil, was watching from the sidelines having earlier played a game himself, it is understood.

Witnesses said his last words to his son were: "Well played, Raphy." Raphaël's father and mother, Sabine Vandenbroucke, said his sudden death had "cruelly deprived" them of a "wonderful future" for their son.
