CORRIE actor Alan Halsall and McFly's Danny Jones have both landed in Australia ahead of I'm A Celebrity, with the soap star eager to tee things off.
The 42-year-old, who has portrayed Tyrone Dobbs on the cobbles since 1998, will be hoping to have the rub of the green after he jokily played down his forthcoming jungle stint.
He said: "I'm just here to play golf.
It's a long way to come but I am an avid fan of... golf.
"Camping? Camping has got nothing to do with it. I am not going to be camping on the golf course!" Alan is best friends with fellow Corrie star Andy Whyment who came second on I'm A Celebrity in 2019.
Asked if he had been given any tips by his pal, Alan grinned and said: "I wouldn't take any advice from Andy Whyment about anything." For pop star Danny, meanwhile, the trip to Brisbane was almost as frightening as one of the show's famous Bushtucker Trials.
His plane was caught in a terrifying thunderstorm that led to the airport runway being closed for 30 minutes.
