Amy rings bell for her last chemo

STRICTLY Come Dancing star Amy Dowden cried all morning yesterday as she had her last chemotherapy session and got to ring that bell.

The dancer, 33, who was diagnosed with breast cancer in May, shared a heartwarming health update ahead of her eighth and final treatment.

Amy wrote: "It's chemo number 8! The last one! We are finally here.

"I've cried all morning! Right, an afternoon of chemo and then I'm so lucky and grateful to be able to ring that bell!"

Thanking all the NHS medics who had helped her at the Sheldon Unit in Birmingham, she branded them "true heroes".

The ballroom star rang the bell along with two other patients as she revealed all three of them had finished their treatment on the same day.
