Finding consistency and eliminating billionaire Blues' soft centre are top of Maresca's to-do list

ENZO MARESCA admits Chelsea will have to become more streetwise before he cures their soft centre and sees the best of his £1billion squad.

When the Italian finalises his 25-man Premier League selection after the madness of the transfer window, Maresca (circle above) expects them to have the youngest average age in the top flight.

He accepts that youthful inexperience comes with a premium and there may be short-term pain before the Blues reap long-term gain from his Stamford Bridge makeover.

As Chelsea scraped into the UEFA Conference League League Phase on Thursday night, they were sliced open - straight down the middle with alarming ease by Servette when Jeremy Guillemenot (right) equalised at the Stade de Geneve.
