GREAT BRITAIN won a marathon Davis Cup tie with France to seal a dramatic return to the knockout stages last night.
An epic battle in front of a partisan Manchester crowd went down to the final match of the week to decide who would join Australia in qualifying for the final eight event in Malaga in November.
And Britain, who last won the Davis Cup in 2015, won late into the night after a stunning 1-6 7-6 7-6 doubles win by Dan Evans and Neal Skupski over Nicolas Mahut and Edouard Roger-Vasselin.
