DANGEROUS

ARSENAL defender Jurrien Timber has hit out at the "dangerous" demands players are facing as the number of games pile up.

And the Dutch international's stance was echoed by Liverpool full-back Andy Robertson, who insisted: "Players must be consulted - not people in offices."

Timber, who missed nearly all of last season with a knee injury, agrees with Manchester City star Rodri's warning that players are on the brink of industrial action over the risk of burn-out.

And while he is relishing Arsenal's home clash with Paris Saint-Germain in the swollen Champions League tonight, the £34million defender fully supports Rodri's comments about the effect the increased workload is having on elite players.

"I totally agree with them," said Timber. "I honestly think it's a dangerous thing.
