The longest waits are at Birmingham once again

BIRMINGHAM Airport has landed the title of the UK's worst for flight delays for the second year running.

Fed-up travellers using it were hit by an average 30-minute hold-up to their flights last year, industry figures have revealed.

That was more than double the delays in 2021, when the airport was also ranked last for punctuality.

But hot on the heels of Birmingham for lengthy waits were Doncaster Sheffield in South Yorks and Manchester. Passengers' average wait at those was 29 minutes.
