Ten-man Wales humiliated by minnows in damaging defeat

ARMENIA is better known for its ties to the Kardashians than for football, but still embarrassed 10-man Wales last night.

The visitors are ranked 97th in the world - 71 places below Wales.

Yet they recovered and showed clinical finishing after going behind to Dan James early opener to leave the Dragons players' faces as red as their shirts.

The hosts were looking to go top of Euro 2024 qualifying Group D. Instead Armenia won for the first time in 10 games in a hugely damaging and embarrassing result for Wales.

They had not lost at home in a qualifier in this competition since 2010 and this must go down as one of their worst results in recent memory, alongside defeat to Belarus in 2000 in World Cup qualifying and Cyprus in Euros qualifying in 2007.
