IT'S official - Luke the Nuke is the new duke in town.
As Luke Littler took Alexandra Palace by storm for the second time in 24 hours, the impossible dream suddenly became real.
The boy wonder's 3-1 win to knock out No.20 seed Andrew Gilding was not just another riotous night out with the fancy dress legions on a north London summit.
Littler, 16, must now be considered a genuine contender to win the Paddy Power PDC Darts World Championship and if you do not believe it, just listen to Phil Taylor, the greatest purveyor of arrows of all time.
"I honestly believe he thinks that he can go and win the tournament," said The Power, who conquered the world 16 times.
"And I totally agree with him. Littler likes to celebrate victory with a kebab and a bottle of pop and he unleashed another lethal combination of doner and fizz to book a thirdround tie with Canada's Matt Campbell after Christmas.
