Maguire earns crucial victory but only after keeper Onana’s spot heroics

WHAT a night for Manchester United's men to restore reputations.

Andre Onana pulled off a lastgasp penalty save to keep United's European hopes alive this season as they beat FC Copenhagen in dramatic fashion.

And it came after Harry Maguire got what turned out to be the winner to restore life into his Old Trafford career.

Erik ten Hag's men looked like they had clung on after Maguire's 72nd-minute header put them on their way to their first Champions League points of the campaign.

But then with the four minutes of stoppage time up, Scott McTominay lazily stuck out a leg and brought down Mohamed Elyounoussi.

United seemingly had blown it and were heading for an early exit from Europe this season.

Up stepped Jordan Larsson son of ex-Old Trafford striker, Henrik but his penalty was superbly saved by summer signing Onana (circled). The Cameroon No.1's errors so far this season had Ten Hag looking like he had bought a dud keeper for big bucks at £47million.
