I'M 95... AND IN THE MOOD FOR DANCING

RAF hero Kevin's nostalgic return to club where he met wife in 40s

AN RAF veteran has taken an emotional trip down memory lane with a dance at the club where he met his wife in 1949.

Kevin Topham, 95, was determined to visit the venue after hearing it had reopened for the first time in decades.

He put on his finest suit and wore his military medals for a dance at Club X with carer Donna Harvey.

Kevin was warned the place has changed since he serenaded his wife Molly, with strobe lighting and booming music replacing the big band sounds.

But that did not put him off and he and Donna danced to 1941 classic Chattanooga Choo Choo by the Glenn Miller Orchestra, who also had a hit with In the Mood in 1944.

Grandad-of-one Kevin said: "It was very sentimental. It's a long time since I was in there.

"I did enjoy it. The staff were all very good. They made me very welcome."
