Oak Hill is a 'brute' but Sheffield-born star ready to show his steel workday

MATT FITZPATRICK branded Oak Hill "a brute of a golf course" ahead of his bid to become the first English winner of the US PGA for more than a century.

But the US Open champion said he "enjoys the challenge of tough courses and is ready to show his Sheffield steel and grind out another Major win.

Oak Hill was renamed 'Choke Hill' after the US Ryder Cup team collapsed in the Sunday singles to hand victory to Europe in 1995.
