Sir Elton's confession on festival

WHEN Sir Elton John headlines this year's Glastonbury Festival, it will be the first time he has ever set foot on Worthy Farm.

The superstar singer will take to the Pyramid Stage this weekend to coincide with the end of his epic five-year Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour.

Speaking of Glasto, the 76-year-old said: "I've never played it and I've never been.

But Sir Elton showered praise on the festival, saying: "Glastonbury is different. It's special.

"It's the only really important festival for me in the world, to be honest.

"It's all about music Glastonbury gives new acts a chance. You can see anything. If you like all sorts of music, there's something for you there."

He added: "Everyone has said, 'You're gonna love it', because there's such a feeling of love and togetherness."
