PRESENTER Kate Garraway clashed with the Health Secretary over social care costs after he announced major changes to the system are still four years away.
She told ITV Good Morning viewers she was lucky she had a well-paid job to fund his care.
But she admitted she now has unpayable debts.
And she said other families with huge care costs "can't afford four more years of this".
Mr Streeting announced an independent commission into creating a National Care Service would begin work in April.
But, amid accusations of kicking the can down the road, he said its recommendations were not expected until late 2028.
It comes after Chancellor Rachel Reeves scrapped long-delayed plans to cap lifetime care costs at £86,000.
