SHE stole scenes in Game of Thrones and the X-Men movies but Sophie Turner says playing real-life jewel thief Joan Hannington is her biggest thrill yet.
In ITV's Joan, she plays the teen mum who became the most notorious woman in London's criminal underworld in the 1980s, earning her the nickname The Godmother.
"She is so funny but she has gone through so much trauma and is so ambitious, Sophie says.
"There really is so much to her - mother, lover, liar, thief. It's just remarkable that it's all a true story."
The drama follows Joan as she escapes her violent husband but has to place her daughter into care as she gets back on her feet.
With no money and nowhere to live, she manages to secure a job in a jewellers, from where she steals her first diamonds.
Her life takes a turn for the better when she meets antiques dealer Boisie, played by Harry Potter actor Frank Dillane, who takes her on as a partner in crime.
