NHS rolls out health checks to cut heart attacks and strokes

MEN will be offered mid-life health MOTS in the workplace from this week in a drive to improve the nation's health.

Council public health teams will work with employers to deliver 130,000 extra checks by 2025 and cut absences due to ill health.

They will focus on workplaces with high numbers of people who are historically less likely to take up their NHS Health Check offer, such as office workers, pub and hotel staff, teachers, lorry, taxi and bus drivers and social care employees.
