A TEENAGER with a rare form of cancer who got a hug from the Princess of Wales has told how meeting the royals seemed so unlikely that she didn't even put it on her bucket list.
Budding photographer Liz Hatton, 16, whose illness is terminal, was given permission to shoot behind the scenes of an investiture.
But she had no idea she would get to meet Kate and William at Windsor Castle and was thrilled to chat with them and share that embrace.
Liz said: "I was shell-shocked to be honest, the whole day was jaw-dropping. But that moment was insane." It was the first time Princess Kate has been photographed back at work since finishing her own chemotherapy this summer.
The royal couple invited talented Liz to do the shoot after hearing she had made a photography bucket list, and they later posted her images on Instagram to be viewed by millions.
Liz, who has been through 10 rounds of gruelling chemotherapy, said meeting them was not on her list because "it was way too big and we had no idea it would be possible".
SHOCK
She added: "I never thought I would get to do anything as massive as this. When I did my bucket list I just put some ideas down. I didn't even think any of these things would happen.
"As they walked through the door it was a massive shock."
