A BUSINESSMAN claims a neighbour is making his life "a living hell" by playing "bass-heavy 90s dance music".

PR boss Dominic Hyde, 57, is suing Heather Akinwunmi for £30,000 and asking for the grandmother to be banned from causing noise nuisance.

Mr Hyde told a court the racket was so bad he had to quit his bedroom and sleep on a mattress in the living room for two years, enduring "long periods of sleep deprivation".

But Ms Akinwunmi, who is in her 50s, is fighting the harassment and nuisance accusations, telling a judge the pounding music was not hers as she has gentler tastes.

She said: "I don't play that sort of music. I listen to Capital, Choice and Heart FM."
