NEVER FORGOTTEN PM hails late Queen and says memorial will be fitting tribute

THE planned monument in honour of Queen Elizabeth Il will give the nation somewhere to pay tribute to her lifetime of service and devotion, Keir Starmer says.

The Prime Minister added that the legacy of Britains longest reigning monarch will "never be forgotten".

As revealed in yesterdays Mirror, the national memorial will stand in St James's Park in Central London.

Elizabeth II died aged 96 at Balmoral Castle on September 8, 2022 after 70 years on the throne.

The Prime Minister said ahead ofthe second anniversary of the death tomorrow; "Queen Elizabeth II's enduring legacy of service and devotion to our country will never be forgotten.

"The national memorial will be located in St James's Park, right in the heart of the capital, providing everyone with a place to honour the late Queen and connect with the shared history we cherish.,"
