SEAMUS CONNEELY won't forget the night Liverpool sent him to bed in tears.
It was back in 1996 and the Newcastle fan had tuned in to see if Kevin Keegan's Magpies could get their Premier League title bid back on track against the Reds at Anfield.
It was a season famous for Toon blowing a 12-point title lead and the memorable seven- goal thriller on Merseyside, settled by a winner from Kop striker Stan Collymore (above), still haunts the Accrington Stanley midfielder.
He will now get to grace that same Anfield turf tomorrow in an FA Cup third-round clash.
"In the mid-90s under Kevin Keegan, Newcastle played really exciting football," said Irishman Conneely, explaining why he became a Newcastle fan. "I wanted to be a bit different but I don't know if it was the best choice because they've never won a trophy in my lifetime!
