Trio killed when Land Rover went into river named as UK faces more storms

A LAND Rover Discovery in which three men drowned was yesterday pulled from the river as tributes were paid to the victims.

The car was dragged into the Esk on Thursday. One man managed to escape but three others remained trapped and died despite emergency crews' efforts.

They were named as Scott Daddy, 28, of Hull, Leslie Forbes, also from East Yorkshire, and Kenneth Hibbins, known as Patrick, from York.

Mr Daddy's family said he was "a loving son, brother, uncle and boyfriend".

Mr Forbes, 70, was said to be "a loving husband, father and grandfather". Mr Hibbins, 59, "will be sadly missed by all his close friends and work colleagues", a tribute from loved ones said.
