UNDER a bright blue sky, a grieving community gathered to mourn for Daniel Anjorin, a 14-year-old boy who on such a glorious day should have been out in the sun playing football, the game that he loved.

Daniel should have been enjoying the bank holiday weekend, smiling his "beautiful smile" as he looked forward to an extra day off school and celebrating a win by his beloved Arsenal.

Instead, around 300 people gathered around a Gunners teddy bear in the car park of Hainault Tube station, in North East London, close to the spot where Daniel was killed with a sword as he made his way to school last Tuesday.

And at the Jubilee Church London that Daniel and his family attended, Pastor Tope Koleoso spoke movingly, saying: "The Anjorins have been a part of the Jubilee Church for over 15 years.

"Daniel was a part of the life of the church along with his other siblings. He was baptised in the church right here.

"So what touches them touches us all because we are family.

"And as a family we have sought to be supportive of them in every way, spiritually, emotionally, practically."
