OLEKSANDR ZINCHENKO says going undefeated against their title rivals in the Premier League this season shows that Arsenal are ready to compete with the best teams in the world.
Gunners have beaten both Liverpool and Manchester City at home in the Premier League and drawn at Anfield and the Etihad. The Londoners finished Wednesday night back on top of the table after beaing Luton and next week they face Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
Asked if their record against their title rivals gave them confidence for the run-in, former Manchester City star Zinchenko said: "Yes, 100 percent, because it shows that we are ready to fight and to compete with the best teams in the world."
Arsenal, who were walloped 4-1 at Manchester City last season, drew 0-0 there on Sunday and Zinchenko said: "The result against City was psychologically important. It's not easy to play City away and Liverpool away so it shows that we are ready to fight for it."
