Owner admits having savage dog

A WOMAN who pleaded guilty to owning a savage XL Bully that attacked a boy said outside court the pet was usually "great around children".

The dog dragged Syed Gardazee, 12, off his bicycle and left him with "potentially life-changing injuries", a court heard.

Paula Jenkins admitted owning a dangerously out-of-control dog.

Tineka O'Mara, prosecuting, said the animal - called Milo latched on to Syed's arm, leaving him with serious lacerations.

Jenkins and passers-by tried to end the attack, hitting the ferocious dog with brooms, metal poles and even a car tyre.
