Scots Government's own analysis warns of failure, Labour reveals

THE Scottish Government is at risk of missing a key target of building 110,000 affordable homes by 2032, according to its own analysis.

An internal report obtained by Labour through a freedom of information request shows there has been a slowdown in the number or approvals for new homes.

The document, produced by civil servants in February, also says there has been an increase in tender prices which could hinder the 2032 target.

The commitment to build 110,000 affordable homes was made in the 2021 Programme for Government after the SNP and Greens signed a powersharing deal.
