FRAN ALONSO kissed his Scottish Cup medal as he walked into his post-match media press conference and insisted it was his best moment in football.
The Celtic boss ensured his side dusted themselves down from last weekend's final-day title heartbreak to make it back-to-back Scottish Cups.
Two goals inside a frantic second-half three-minute period from Natasha Flint and Claire O'Riordan condemned Rangers to a season that now finishes empty-handed with the Ibrox side third in the table.
Alonso said: "It means the world to me. It was really hard to pick the girls up because we were two minutes away from winning the league.
"We transferred this anger and disappointment into aggression and passion and today against a superb team we dominated the game.
"We could have scored more.
I'm extremely proud and it is exactly what the girls deserved.
Alonso feared the worst when he went into training on Wednesday morning after the players had 48 hours to recover from their title heartbreak.
