Bruce says sorry after TV backlash

Presenter called audience member 'the black guy'

QUESTION Time host Fiona Bruce has apologised after referring to a member of the audience as a "black guy".

During Thursday's episode of the political debate, Fiona took questions from the audience as usual, directing the microphone to "the man in the green shirt" or "the woman in the colourful top".

But on another occasion, she told the operator: "The guy there in the middle... the black guy in the middle.

Yes, you sir." Yesterday, Fiona said: "I understand why my words last night caused offence and I apologise.
