A HOMELESS hero who created a lifeline charity with just £5 has helped feed more than 30,000 hungry Scots in a year.

Laura McSorley, from Glasgow, set up Kindness Homeless Street Team shortly before coronavirus hit.

The 40-year-old mum of two started by handing out sandwiches in the city centre as the pandemic took hold but has since seen her venture spiral into a large-scale operation with dozens of volunteers.
