DUNDEE UNITED v AIRDRIE
TONY WATT is aiming to be a lean, mean goalscoring machine following frank talks with Dundee United boss Jim Goodwin.
The manager told the striker he wanted him to lose weight and reduce his body fat to take his game to the next level.
Watt insists he was happy to do exactly that and he hopes to reap the rewards from all the extra training and gym sessions, starting today against Airdrieonians at Tannadice.
The former Celtic striker said: "The manager has told me he wants more from me.
"He wants me at a certain weight, a certain body fat. He thinks it will benefit me and that's what I am trying to do.
"I've probably been comfortable at a weight where I feel fit and strong but he thinks I can be faster and more agile.
"We've had conversations and he has been very in-depth about it. I'm happy to do that.
